SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM PLAYERS

| WORLD CUP 2010 | XABI ALONSO GIVES A

SCARE

The SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM is busy training & preparing themselves
for their opening game of Group H
against Switzerland next Wednesday. The SPAIN WORLD CUP TEAM i
s based in the South African
town of Potchefstroom & in their training session of today gave us all a slight
scare when XABI ALONS
retired from training half way through the session.

Spain has currently "under care" another vital piece of the playing team
ANDRES INIESTA
with a thigh muscle strain & the image of the Real Madrid midfielder
Xabi Alonso walking
off sent alarm – bells throughout the Spanish Camp. Lastest news tells
us that it is just an
overworked & tired leg muscle & that Xabi left the training session
for purely precautionary
reasons. It was all just a scare & the midfielder should be back training
soon.

Lets not forget that many of the SPANISH SOCCER WORLD CUP TEAM
players come into
the World Cup competition after a long season were most have played
more than 70 – 80
games up to this point. Without rest, it is not surprising that muscle
strains & tiredness
are affecting some players at this stage.

Lastly, as a further piece of news, Spanish midfielder DAVID SILVA
in a press conference
warned against “over-confidence” & called for a “feet on the
ground approach” as media
are heating things up placing the SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM
as the hot favourites.
Spanish International Silva wishes to dampen the atmosphere
as the “favourite” tag
could be more counter-productive than an advantage.
